ROB LALIBERTE
Audio Architecture // Generative DSP
Rob Laliberte is a multidisciplinary musician, composer, and audio architect whose work spans traditional, folk, modern, electronic, and DJ environments. Operating out of the foothills of Northern California, his approach bridges raw, physical instrumentation with custom-coded software.
A veteran of both the road and the studio, Laliberte has written and recorded over 15 original albums throughout his career. He has toured internationally, holding down the low end on bass for acts including Cool Hand Luke and Ryan Alexander.
His solo work represents his most personal and experimental artistic outlet. His latest release, Children of the Revolution, was tracked entirely off-grid. The project serves as a direct collision of acoustic honesty—anchored by his Gibson J-45—and real-time algorithmic manipulation, powered by generative DSP environments he builds from scratch.
Beyond his recording career, Laliberte is a software developer and interactive designer currently contributing to two video games in active production: Crystal Engine and the high-speed anti-gravity racer GRX (GravityX). He is also the founder of Waveform Collective, an innovative browser-based DSP platform.
Rooted heavily in physical community, Laliberte also operates an independent coffee roasting business, frequently bringing his hybrid acoustic-electronic live sets and custom-built mobile camper rig directly to independent markets, venues, and guerrilla dirt-road deployments across the West Coast.
